For build crafters
An idle ARPG for Path of Exile build crafters
If the part of Path of Exile you love is the planning, the spreadsheets and the moment a build finally comes together, Hellwake gives you that part and hands the fighting to your party. It is not a Path of Exile clone and does not try to be: it is a smaller, darker incremental RPG with a lot of room to build.
Where the depth is
- 129 skills across seven callings, each picking a form at rank ten that changes how it works.
- A party of up to five, so the Zealot's auras, the Bonecaller's curses, the Warbringer's shouts, summons, traps and sentries all stack on the same targets.
- Six damage types: physical, fire, cold, lightning, poison and arcane. Resistances cap, every tier from Nightmare on takes some away, and curses and marks break them down.
- Increased and more are kept apart: one additive pool of increased damage per hero, and more multipliers only from a short, named list, each on its own tooltip line.
- Oath trees: one per calling, 24 stars each, with 14 minor, 7 notable and 3 keystones. Only one keystone acts at a time, and keystones are where the rules bend.
- Gear that changes skills: full sets rework their calling's signature skills, and runewords, sockets, charms and the Forge's Exalt step all feed the build.

An endgame with keys
- Gauntlets: carry keys through the maps to a boss's own lair.
- Hell Rifts: a cursed zone and a clock that will not stop.
- Descents: a stair of floors and doors that goes deeper than the acts.
- The Ascension ladder: ten Wake Omens that make every run harder and its loot deeper. The prestige guide lists them.

What it is not
- No manual movement or click-to-attack: heroes fight on their own.
- No trading and no online play: Hellwake is single-player with local saves.
- No offline rewards: the game moves only while it runs.

Questions
Is Hellwake like Path of Exile?
In its love of builds, yes. In how it plays, no: it is an incremental RPG where the party fights on its own.
How deep do builds go?
Three skill trees per calling with a form for every skill, a party of five that stacks auras, curses and summons, oath keystones, sets that rework skills, and runewords.
